MEDITERRANEAN FRIDAYS XVIII: STACK BY BORJA GARCIA FOR GANDIA BLASCO AT SALONE DEL MOBILE 2015

The renowned Valencian firm of outdoor furniture Gandia Blasco has launched at the Salone del Mobile di Milano 2015 his Stack collection, designed by Borja Garcia Studio's team. It is a line of stackable furniture inspired by the nautical world, with design elements reminiscent of the 1960's and 1970's and manufactured in extruded aluminum and original self-supporting fabrics.

The collection is characterized by its light and true aspect, its soft lines and its warm colors. Elegant and innovative pieces that to me set another clear example of Spanish designers' huge talent.

Seeing these beautiful pictures I can think of nothing except summertime. For the moment we will be content with enjoying Madrid's spring, that with its Retiro and its terraces is not bad at all.

La prestigiosa firma valenciana de mobiliario exterior Gandia Blasco ha presentado en el Salone del Mobile di Milano 2015 su colección Stack, diseñada por el equipo de Borja Garcia Studio. Se trata de una línea de mobiliario apilable inspirada en el mundo naútico, con reminiscencias estilísticas de los años 60-70 y realizada en aluminio extruído y un novedoso tejido autoportante. La colección se caracteriza por su aspecto liviano y sincero, sus líneas suaves y sus cálidos colores. Piezas elegantes e innovadoras que para mí suponen un ejemplo más del enorme talento que tienen los diseñadores españoles.

Viendo estas preciosas imágenes no puedo pensar en otra cosa que en el verano. De momento nos conformaremos con disfrutar de la primavera madrileña, que con su Retiro y sus terracitas tampoco está nada mal.
