MEDITERRANEAN FRIDAYS XV: ORGANISING A HOUSE WITH ONE PIECE OF FURNITURE

Via DezeenPhotography by Adrià Goula.

I am in love with the renovation of this tiny apartment. It is located in Barcelona, in the district of Les Courts specifically, and it is a work of Sergi Pons architects's team. It is not the first time I talk about these architects' work by the way, I also wrote a post about one of their others renovations that you can re-read here.

The nature of building's own materials is left in plain sight, combining it with a minimalist plaster piece of furniture which does not reach the vaulted ceiling, emphasising it and giving human scale to the room. This piece in pure white divides the space with a simple act since, including the kitchen and the bathroom, it separates the day area from the night one.

A design full of contrasts which live perfectly together, where the warm and Mediterranean Barcelona's light does the rest.
